Share our passion for outdoors
We sort out your accommodation, your meals and lead the walks. You just enjoy the fresh air and the views.
We usually base ourselves at one centre – like a hostel, a hotel or an outdoor education centre – and walk from this base without any need for additional bus transport or use of your car to the start of the walks. Occasionally we make use of local train lines so we can enjoy linear walks.
We specialise in 2, 3 or 4 day breaks, walking each day anything from 6 to 12 miles depending on the type of holiday and the terrain. Our holidays are all about the walks so we like to stay out all day from breakfast until late afternoon, walking at a comfortable pace if the weather is nice.
In 2016 our walks included holidays in Grasmere and Swaledale. In 2017 we have already had holidays in Buttermere and Eyam in the Peak District. Our next holiday will be in September 2017. Details will be announced.
The walks are planned not to be over-strenuous but at the end of the day we like our clients to feel that they have had a good walk and are ready for a cup of tea, cake or something a bit stronger!
There is nothing like walking to get the feel of a country. A fine landscape is like a piece of music; it has to be taken at the right tempo. Even a bicycle goes too fast.Paul Scott Mawrer
