Gandhi in Bowland

The second of two walks retracing Mohandas Gandhi’s footsteps through the North of England. This circular walk links Clitheroe and the village of West Bradford across the River Ribble. It passes by the farm where Gandhi stayed the night, a Quaker guesthouse and Adult School run by the Darwen mill owner, Percy Davies. We look at the role radical Mr Davies played in bringing the Indian spiritual leader to the North.
